By permission of the artist, The Cyber Art Show is pleased to feature the first of two 12-piece exhibitions of works by American 

landscape painter Jeanette Sherritze (born 1967 in Omaha, Nebraska). 

Jeanette was born into a family of artists.  She began painting in her mother’s ceramic studio, learning the art of ceramics as a toddler when she was barely old enough to walk. As a young teenager, her parents arranged for her to formally study oils under her Sicilian relative, an accomplished artist. Later in Northwest Florida State College’s art program, her school repeatedly recognized her with many of its top honors and art awards.  

After college, Jeanette followed her passions in art:  painting public murals and large-scale theater designs, teaching, and selling plein air and studio work through galleries such as the Paul Brent gallery in Destin, Florida as well as multiple other retail establishments.  

In her late 30s, Jeanette laid her brushes down for a full-time career in the business world. She earned a Master’s Degree in accounting and became a licensed CPA. Her business career eventually moved her to northwest Italy.  Here, surrounded by inspiration from the Italian masters and the elegant Renaissance, medieval, and Roman architecture, Jeanette picked back up her brushes.

Jeanette divides her time between her homes on Florida’s northeast Gulf coast and a small Renaissance village just north of Venice, Italy. 

In Italy, Jeanette paints as one of the founding members of the Friuli-Venezia Dipingere en Plein Air Association, and has also painted with the Italia Dipenge group in Venice.  Her work is currently included in the Felice Arte exhibition in Valvasone, Italy.
