By permission of the artist, The Cyber Art Show is pleased to feature the first of two 12-piece exhibitions of works by American

landscape painter Beth Dean (born 1956 in Mississippi).

Beth Dean has painted almost all of her life. She was classically trained in her early fine arts education, studying under several noted Mississippi artists.

Beth holds a B.S. degree in Interior Design, with an elected emphasis in Renaissance Art History. After over 20 years as a commercial interior designer and owning her own firm, Beth retired from "the corporate world", fulfilling her life-long passion of being a full-time artist.

Beth's impressionistic paintings are done in oil. She draws inspiration from her native Mississippi and the Gulf Coast regions, which are subjects for many of her paintings. She travels extensively, and is particularly drawn to Italy, which influences much of her works.

Beth is best known for her intense color palette, and most notably her skillful expression of water and skies. Her artwork breathes with her love of God, His Creation, travel and adventure.

Beth regularly attends workshops, studying under internationally- recognized artists to continually expand her education. She considers it an honor and her gift to pass on her knowledge of painting, and to encourage others in their artistic journeys. Her weekly Oil Painting classes stay full and she also teaches Plein Air workshops

and Art & Travel Journaling Workshops, which are often requested.

Beth gratefully resides on a lake in Madison County, Mississippi, with her architect husband, Richard, their two sons, and a pair of rescue dogs who run the place.

                       ARTIST'S STATEMENT

“Many artists influence my work, from the Masters of the Renaissance to those of the modern day. My impressionistic painting is an expression of the beauty I find in everyday life. I strive to depict not only the visual allure of my subject, but also the impact on all the senses in the moment in which I experienced it. I continue to study and grow as an artist, remaining ever mindful that it is a God-given privilege to be able to create and find immense joy in this endeavor.”
