                          ARTIST'S STATEMENT

"I find inspiration in light and shadow. Long blue shadows cast on pure white snow, the beauty of reflections in ponds, the color and rhythm of ripples in the sea. I love being outside hiking, running, or cycling.

When I started painting, I brought along a camera and shot reference photos whenever I was moved by the way light falls on a scene. It's thrilling to see these little magical moments out in the world as you go about living your life. All you need is sunlight and your eyes and they are everywhere! How awesome is that? I love to paint how those scenes look to me, and share them with others."
