"Morning on Nansong Street"

______

By permission of the artist, The Cyber Art Show is pleased to feature the first of two 12-piece exhibitions of works by Chinese painter

Junwei Dai (born 1990 in Danyang City, China).

Junwei Dai received the B.LA (Bachelor of Landscape Architecture) from China Academy of Arts in 2013, the M.Arch (Master of architecture) from China Academy of Arts in 2016 and the M.LA (Master of Landscape Architecture) from National University of Singapore in 2018.

Today Junwei works as a landscape architect in Singapore and likes to paint during his spare time, an interest developed in his childhood. Although painting is not his profession, he is so obsessed with it--especially watercolor--which he learned on his own in 2016.

In the first year of self-taught watercolor, his watercolor works were selected to be exhibited in many international exhibitions, such as the 151st Annual International Exhibition of the American Watercolor Society, 104th Allied Artists of America, the 104th Allied Artists of America, Inc Annual Exhibition 2017, the 10th Watercolor Festival in Aiguillon, Watercolor Salon in Thessaloniki and others. What’s more, his watercolor “Dream Back to Paris” was published in “Awarded Arts” in Germany and was selected to be used on German stamps.

Junwei has achieved many awards in the field of watercolor. He became a Signature Member  of NWS (National Watercolor Society, USA) as one of only  four Chinese artists. Additionally, he received the Combined Donor Prize when his watercolor “Morning on Nansong Street” was selected in the 2017 National Watercolor Society`s 97th International Open Exhibition. In the same year, his watercolor “Sunset of Gaziantep” was selected in the 6th International “Zeugma Love, Tolerance and Peace Through Art” Watercolor Festival and Golden Brush Contest and won 2nd place.
