ARTIST'S STATEMENT
“To go out into nature to paint is critical. I am interested in investigating more deeply the places familiar to me and also sharpening my responsiveness to the special character of new places I encounter along the way.
For larger studio paintings I use references of plein air sketches, photographs, and personal experiences. I sometimes include figures or portraits.”
