  Feature Artist Bio

By permission of the artist, The Cyber Art Show is pleased to feature the first of two 12-piece exhibitions of works by American

landscape painter Patricia Musgrave (born 1950 in Dallas, Texas).

Patricia Musgrave is a lifelong artist, primarily painting in oils and acrylics. Growing up in an artistic household - her mother was an artist and teacher - she cannot remember a time not painting or helping out around the studio. Her first jobs were as teaching aide and volunteer art teacher. She has taught art in both private lessons and classes, and has led workshops and small group events. She has held art classes at the Community School of Music and Arts, Senior Day Health Program, Casa Olga, and Seven Oaks Retirement Community, all local to her home in Mountain View, California

Besides learning the fundamentals of art at home, she studied art at West Los Angeles College, Foothill College, the Pacific Art League, and has taken numerous classes and workshops. She credits many fine teachers for her art education, Katherine Bazak, Jim Smyth, and Brigitte Curt among them.

Her work is in private collections from Australia to Europe, and she has exhibited in numerous public spaces, city offices, medical centers, restaurants and coffee houses, and has painted murals for businesses and private homes. She has exhibited at galleries in Carmel and San Francisco, CA, as well as in online galleries

                       ARTIST'S STATEMENT

“My main goal as a painter is to express the beauty I see around me. I feel that this is my mission in life, and I take it seriously.

I love the process of painting, itself. For me, color is the best part of that process. I see color theory as an evolving concept, one that never ceases to amaze and delight me, so to learn more, to do better... this is where I am a seeker!”
