                 ARTIST'S STATEMENT

“Pastels are pure color and pure joy for me. Pastels are paint, but in a dry form, and the ability to make them do whatever you want, using soft and hard pastels is both freeing and delicious torture.”

"In working with the landscape I try to convey the atmosphere as well as the feeling and mood of the day I’m capturing.

"I love taking classes with master painters and teaching pastel classes as well. After many years as a fashion illustrator and designer, I find that I see clearer and with more feeling now than ever before. I also love that I never stop learning."
