Mauritian landscape painter Denis Zephir (born 1964 in Mauritius).
Denis depicts mostly landscapes and scenery from everyday life. In an Impressionistic approach, using oil on canvas as primary medium, he captures light, movements and feelings of presence in his works .
He started painting not long ago in 2013, after a long career as commercial artist, portraitist and illustrator, today he feels blessed to do what he always ever wanted.
Master Painters like Claude Monet, Edgar Degas, Pierre-Auguste Renoir and Berthe Morisot have a great influence on him, theirs struggle, their passion and moreover the brotherhood they lived in.

ARTIST'S STATEMENT
“'Feeling is an universal state of consciousness to humanity across the Earth; The idea that artistic expression and styles should fit in something or some places, is irrelevant to me.”
