Feature Artist Bio
By permission of the artist, The Cyber Art Show is pleased to feature the second of two 12-piece exhibitions of works by contemporary American landscape painter Dee Burdick (born Farmington, Maine).
A native of Maine, Dee Burdick has spent most of her life in southern Maine and New Hampshire. Memories of her grandparent's farm are often expressed in her pastoral scenes, while the experiences of lobster fishing with her father influenced her seascapes. She feels very fortunate to live where there are farmhouses and pastures for inspiration as well as quaint harbors and rocky coasts.
Dee majored in painting and graphics at the University of New Hampshire where she received her BA. While living in North Berwick, Maine, Dee studied watercolor with DeWitt Hardy. She treasures her memories of participating with local artists in the North Berwick Drawing Group.
Her work may be seen at Mast Cove Gallery in Kennebunkport, Maine and The Whitney Galleries in Wells, Maine.
