Feature Artist Bio
By permission of the artist, The Cyber Art Show is pleased to feature the first of two 12-piece exhibitions of works by contemporary Polish landscape painter Monika Niżyńska (born 1947 in Tarnów, Poland).
From early childhood Monika has been deeply interested in arts, especially painting, which has remained the true passion of her life. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where she pursued an individual academic program under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Art. While studying printing operations at poligraphic college, she took painting lessons with Professors Jerzy Tchórzewski and Jerzy Nowosielski. After graduating she became a member of the Polish Artist's Association.
Monika worked for many years as a graphic designer at the National Advertising Agency, and then together with a friend and a group of artists and photographers at Agency Advertising and Publishing, where she helped implement campaigns and enjoyed many international successes in competitions for interior design in Brno, Vilnius and Baku. While in New York she worked for well-known Italian company Balducci's, where he was chief designer in the gallery "Piccola Cucina" and author of the arrangement of their storefronts in Manhattan.
Monika lives in Warsaw, with her two grown-up daughters and four grandchildren.
