By permission of the artist, The Cyber Art Show is pleased to feature the second of two 12-piece exhibitions of works by contemporary
International landscape painter Julliette Tehrani (born 1956 in London, UK).

After a successful career as a senior financial executive for many years, Julliette has now turned to fine arts, her original passion. She brings many varied experiences to her new art career. London-born of Persian heritage and with extensive travels throughout her life, she brings an international perspective to her paintings. She was fortunate to be able to pursue her lifelong passion in painting while focusing on a successful business career.
Like many other artists, she began painting as a child, gradually honing her talent through the years. While primarily self-taught, she has participated extensively with renowned artists at workshops in the U.S., Italy and France. She has also studied at SUNY, the Art Students League of New York and The Silvermine Arts Center in Connecticut. Julliette has studied with nationally-recognized artists David Dunlop and Carmello Blandino, as well.

Enamored of the French and American impressionists, Julliette traveled through Europe seeking her own artistic inspiration. Her initial breakthrough came when she spent a period of time painting on location in Giverny, France at Monet's gardens with its breathtaking scenes. This experience encouraged her to seek out other sites where the impressionists painted. When reaching the Mediterranean, enchanted by its light, mood and atmosphere, she realized that this was where she wanted to spend more time painting.
Julliette's paintings seek to capture the light and color of beauty as seen through her eyes. Colorful flowers and landscapes are among her favorite subjects. With her love of the textual quality of paint, her paintings are free and expressive in style, while taking on a blend of realism as well.
Julliette has shown her work in both solo and group shows, nationally and internationally. She is a member of many distinguished art associations and her paintings are held by public and private collectors. In recent years she has been spending her time between her two homes in Stamford, Connecticut and in the south of France.

ARTIST'S STATEMENT
"My artistic inspiration comes from my love of nature. There is a world of beauty waiting to be captured. I am entranced by the dazzling colors of flowers, the magnificence of the skies and clouds, and reflections on water. Reflective patterns of light on the colors and shapes in the simplest of scenes can be stunning. I constantly strive to capture those special scenes onto my canvas. Color, combined with my love of design and the textual quality of paint - is why I paint. I just want to create beautiful and colorful images and share my passion with others."
