By permission of the artist, The Cyber Art Show is pleased to feature the second of two 12-piece exhibitions of works by German landscape
painter Ute Farr (born 1963, Flensburg, Germany).

Born in Northern Germany, Ute attended Grundschule Weding till 1973 and graduated Gymnasium Satrum in 1979. A very special moment occurred for her when at age 16 when she visited the Louvre in Paris. While her schoolmates walked fast through the museum, she found herself transfixed by a very large painting and spent nearly two hours in the museum. She particularly liked "The Lost Hope" (aka "The Sea of Ice") by Caspar David Friedrich (1774-1840) and Monet's beautiful garden scenes. Inspired by the unbelievable beauty in the artworks of the old masters, Ute began copying them and painting animal portraits.
Inspired by her love for nature, she began to paint the surrounding
landscapes in her area and also while vacationing in foreign countries. She always carried her pastels with her, as she didn't wish to without them for one day. From then to the present, Ute has found fulfillment in her admiration for the colors of nature.
After school, she trained at Berufschule Flensburg medical facility,
where she became a Doctor's assistant. After getting married, she raised two children while caring for her family, her house, a horse and a dog. At home she had a little painting place and painted as often she could find time. Eventually, she began to show her paintings at artist markets.
Ute opened her own gallery, Galery Farrbtraeume, in Hetlingen in 2012.
In 2018 Ute's water and seascapes will be displayed in gallery Lübeck, Berkentinenhaus.
