By permission of the artist, The Cyber Art Show is pleased to feature the second of two 12-piece exhibitions of works by American painter Deb LaFogg (born 1957 in Connecticut, USA).

Deborah LaFogg Docherty’s art combines two great loves: nature and painting. Most of what she paints is from life experience. While working in nature, she strives to give people a glimpse of how animals live in the wild, and their environments. Deborah appreciates the opportunity to venture into places so many never get a chance to see and to provide a better understanding of the world we share.
Photoshop is a computer program she most often uses as a design tool. Creating value sketches before starting a painting really helps things to come together. She uses light, color, composition, texture and atmosphere to capture the viewers' interest.
Deborah’s mediums are pastel and oils and may involve an under-painting for added luminosity and atmosphere. In pastel it could involve washes of color and turpentine. In oils, she blocks-in color. She offers demos and workshops to local art societies and currently teaches at Old School Square in Delray Beach, Florida.
Looking at her paintings today many people think that they are photographs. She takes it as a compliment since she can paint photorealistic and Impressionistic.
Her quest has been exciting and rewarding. Her journeys have taken her from Everglades National Park to Denali National Park.
Some of Deborah’s achievements include two solo shows at the J. N. Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge and the Everglades National Park’s Ernest F. Coe Gallery in the Visitors center.
