By permission of the artist, The Cyber Art Show is pleased to feature the first of two 12-piece exhibitions of works by contemporary American landscape painter Bonnie Morgan Hyde (born 1955 in Newtown, Connecticut).

Bonnie Morgan Hyde grew up in Connecticut and went to college in the Boston area. She attended Chamberlayne Jr. College where she earned an Associates Degree with a major in fine arts and then going on to Massachusetts College of Art and Design, graduating with a B.F.A. majoring in painting. Her work career has been in floral design, retail management and currently works in picture framing. After getting married and raising two children, she now lives in Marietta, GA.

Trained in the fine arts, Bonnie had the opportunity to experience many of the fine arts – drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture and many mediums.  Her focus was on painting, starting with oils in college, later on working in watercolor and currently working in pastels. What she finds exciting is combining all three – using watercolor and oils as under paintings for the pastel.

Bonnie is a current member of the Southeastern Pastel Society and has been juried into the Awesome Art, Pastel 2015 show (juror Nancy Nowak), the Southeastern Pastel Society 2016 17th International Exhibition (juror Richard McKinley) and Southeastern Pastel Society Roswell Visual Arts Center Exhibition 2016 (juror Marsha Savage).

Bonnie has been selling her paintings at The Whimsical Wares Art and Gift Show, Marietta GA ( 2012-2016), Art For The Park, Marietta GA (2014-2016) and will be showing her work at the Vickery Village Artists Market in Cummings, GA in December 2016.
