By permission of the artist, The Cyber Art Show is pleased to feature the first of two 12-piece exhibitions of works by contemporary Chilean landscape painter Alex Perez (born 1946 in Santiago, Chile).

The fourth generation of family artists, Alex expresses his own artistic passion by recording nature on the canvas in a conventional and realist painting style. The subjects of his paintings include rural landscape and sea views, figure and still life. The drawing and the composition form the basis of his painting. Alex’s landscapes highlight the perspective, atmosphere and point of view of the scene.

 

Alex’s still lifes are characterized by the symbolic position of the objects within the composition and the atmosphere which surrounds them. His figurative works are characterized chiefly by the the psychology of the portrayed. The artist’s paintings invite the viewer to enjoy a visual experience of balance and tranquility.

 

Alex’s works are exhibited in several countries, his masterful paintings included in private and public collections worldwide.
