By permission of the artist, The Cyber Art Show is pleased to feature the first of two 12-piece Exhibitions of works by American landscape artist Michelle Kondos, (born 1965, in Boston, Massachusetts).
 

Michelle Valborg Kondos is an award-winning landscape and portrait painter living in both Borrego Springs, CA and New Orleans, LA. After growing up in the Boston area and Sweden she attended Bennington College in Vermont. She also attended Regents College of Art in London, where she studied art history and painting under Owen Wood, the renowned English artist and illustrator. 

She moved to New Orleans in 1989 where she studied with Latvian painter Auseklis Ozols at the New Orleans Academy of Fine Art. Today her main areas of focus in her painting are desert landscapes of California and the American West. 

She has exhibited widely in galleries across the U.S. She was commissioned to paint the official city portraits of two former New Orleans Mayors- Marc Morial and Dutch Morial as well as many other prominent individuals throughout New Orleans, the U.S., and Europe. 

She is currently painting primarily plein air landscapes of the Anza-Borrego desert. She was recently featured in the online Plein Air Magazine. 

Her work is represented in public and private collections throughout the U.S. and Europe.
