The Cyber Art Show
By permission of the artist, The Cyber Art Show is pleased to feature the first of two 12-piece Exhibitions of works by American landscape artist Karen Fox Tarlton, (born 1965, in Riverside, California).
Contemporary Impressionist Painter, Karen Tarlton creates oil paintings with a unique sense of color, texture and light. With loose strokes and bold use of color, she brings a unique perspective to the contemporary art world. Her paintings are a visual journey that allow the essence of her subject matter to come to life. She creates lively, engaging, colorful art, and her work is widely-collected worldwide.
As a child, she moved frequently, living in many cities up and down the state until finally settling in beautiful Lake Tahoe as a teenager. As a child, her desire to draw and paint was very strong; she drew everything, and did multiple self-portraits because she was often the only model available. While still in high school in 1981, she met her husband. They both attended The University of California at Davis, where she took her very first real art classes. It was then that she knew without a doubt she wanted to paint as a career. When her husband joined the Air force to become an F-16 pilot after college, she took the opportunity to begin painting landscapes and thus began her professional career as an artist.
Traveling has greatly influenced her paintings and she continues to paint everyday. In 25 years, they have moved 18 times and have lived all over the world. On three separate occasions, they were stationed in Washington, D.C., where she took the opportunity to continue her studies at The Corcoran School of Fine Arts. She has a very large worldwide following and sells in multiple galleries and her online store
