By permission of the artist, The Cyber Art Show is pleased to feature the first of two 12-piece exhibitions of works by Irish landscape painter Aidan Butler (born 1963 in Dublin, Ireland).

Aidan Butler has been painting for 25 years, and has established a reputation as an imaginative interpreter of the Irish landscape. An expert and advocate of the medium of pastel, Aidan has been painting professionally since 1997, and gained his Artist’s exemption from the state in 2004. He has completed large state commissions and exhibited widely in Ireland. His first solo exhibition was in 2001 in the prestigious Bank of Ireland Exhibition Centre and was a critical and commercial success.

 

Over the last decade three more solo exhibitions have followed, and Aidan has participated in Art Fairs in Dublin, Cork, Belfast, England and Scotland. In more recent times Aidan has exhibited regularly at the Royal Ulster Academy and the Wexford Opera Festival, and has exhibited and had work purchased by Corporate and State agencies at home and abroad.

 

A prize-winning full member of the Pastel Society of Ireland, his atmospheric Pastel paintings evoke all seasons of the Irish landscape. Aidan's paintings are found in public, corporate and private collections throughout Ireland, the UK, Europe and the USA.
