"Bringing the Museum to You"

By permission of the artist, The Cyber Art Show is pleased to feature a 12-piece Exhibition of works by American contemporary Impressionist painter Phil Bates (born 1954 in Bellville, Illinois).

Phil is a Distinguished Pastellist with the Pastel Society of the West Coast, a member of the IAPS Master Circle and a signature member of the Pastel Society of America.  He has won numerous awards and his work has been featured in the Pastel Journal and the book Painting Sunlight and Shadow with Pastels by Maggie Price.  Phil is also a cinematographer/director, who’s footage has appeared in many feature films including Armageddon, Cold Mountain, Battleship and Olympus Has Fallen.  Phil lives in Myrtle Creek, Oregon.
