By permission of the artist, The Cyber Art Show is pleased to feature the first of two 12-piece exhibitions of works by contemporary American landscape painter Kim Lordier (born 1966 in California, USA).

Native to the San Francisco Bay Area and a graduate of the Academy of Art University, San Francisco CA, Kim Lordier combines keen observation and sensitivity to her award winning landscapes. After college, she flew with a major air carrier, turning to painting full time after the events of September 2001. In 2002 she was introduced to the art of the Early California Impressionists at the Oakland Museum, and was exposed to plein-air painting as a creative means.

Currently Lordier’s paintings are in private collections throughout the country, and have been exhibited at the Autry Museum, Coors Western Art Show in Denver, National Arts Club NY, Haggin Museum, Forbes Galleries, Pasadena Museum of California Art, Irvine Museum and the Laguna Art Museum.

Her work has been showcased on the cover of Southwest Art, and The Pastel Journal, as well as featured in Art of the West, PleinAir Magazine, Fine Art Connoisseur, American Artist and The Artist Magazine. Lordier's paintings have been published in: California Light-A Century of Landscapes by Jean Stern and Molly Siple, Art Journey America-Landscapes by North Light Publishing, and the award-winning Art of the National Parks-Historic Connections Contemporary Interpretations published by Fresco Fine Art Publications.

Acknowledged by jurors and her peers, Kim has received recognition for her landscapes at major plein air events, international magazine competitions, national pastel society shows and museum exhibitions. Most recently, Lordier received the Fine Art Connoisseur Award of Excellence at the California Art Club’s 103rd Annual Gold Medal Exhibition

Kim is a Signature Member of the California Art Club, the Pastel Society of America, Laguna Plein Air Painters Association, and a Distinguished Pastelist of the Pastel Society of the West Coast. A coveted workshop instructor, Kim leads workshops across the country. Most recently demonstrating at the First and Second Annual Plein Air Convention, sponsored by PleinAir Magazine.
