The Cyber Art Show
By permission of the artist, The Cyber Art Show is pleased to feature the first of two 12-piece Exhibitions of works by Bulgarian-born American artist Nikolo Balkanski (born 1957 in Sofia, Bulgaria).
Nikolo studied fine art in Bulgaria and Finland and exhibited his first one-man show at age 21. He built a strong following in Europe as a master of portraiture and landscapes, with major exhibitions in Bulgaria, Finland, Sweden, England, France, and the United States. He is highly-regarded as an inspirational teacher and mentor. Nikolo's paintings bring his European origin and training to his art and his post-impressionist interpretations carry a distinctive quality that easily captivates the viewer with his portrayal of the subject using sophisticated color and remarkable draftsmanship.

ARTIST'S STATEMENT
“Everything in Nature stimulates my imagination. For me, art is not about recording nature accurately, creating a technically perfect painting, telling a story or even bringing out a pleasant association in the viewer's mind. Art is about expressing my vision and emotion, about interpreting nature in a way that allows me to make a statement."
