By permission of the artistThe Cyber Art Show is pleased to feature a 12-piece Exhibition of works by American landscape artist Marti Walker (born 1948 in Ohio, USA).

Marti Walker began her artistic career painting the mountains, valleys and waterways of the Sacramento valley, Sierra mountains and Pacific coast.  As an avid outdoorswoman, she spends a great deal of her time painting ‘en plein air’ – French for 'in the open air'.  A long-time watercolor and oil painter, she now paints almost exclusively in pastels, loving the immediacy and brilliance of working with pure pigments.

Walker is a Signature Member of the Sierra Pastel Society, a member of Pastel Society of America and Pastel Society of the West Coast.  She participates in multiple juried Plein Air Events each year. She is also a member of the California Art Club and American Impressionist Society.

She is represented by John Natsoulas Gallery, Davis, CA, Rootstock Gallery, Winters, Ca, and Markleeville Art & Soul, Markleeville, CA

                          ARTIST'S STATEMENT

"I love the immediacy of what I can achieve by painting on location. I find the pressure to complete a painting before the light changes to be thrilling. The challenge is in giving the viewer the experience of my unique interpretation of the scene.  I hope to transport viewers to the site, to allow them to feel alone and at peace with nature."
