OFFICIAL WEBSITE http://barbaramulleneaux.com/
By permission of the artist, The Cyber Art Show is pleased to feature the first of two 12-piece exhibitions of works by contemporary American landscape painter Barbara Mulleneaux (born 1957 in New Jersey, USA).
Barbara moved from southern California to Arizona in 1994 with her husband and two daughters. Being a self-taught artist, Barbara reminds us that doesn't mean "no art education." Barbara has taken (and continues) to participate in classes and workshops with some our nation's finest plein-air painters and recognized artists, as well as studying art history.
Barbara joined the Tucson Plein Air Painters Society in 2002. She was hooked! After years of following trails and picking bugs off her panel, Barbara still prefers to paint outdoors- especially with her Golden Retriever, Charlie.
Barbara's works are very expressive with color and texture. She uses pallete knives. "I like to use the pallete knife. It is kind of like sculpting with paint!"
Barbara teaches painting classes and workshops.
She is a member of Oil Painters of America, American Women Artists, American Impressionist Society and the Tucson Plein Air Painters Society.
