  Feature Artist Bio

By permission of the artist, The Cyber Art Show is pleased to feature the first of two 12-piece exhibitions of works by American landscape painter, Anne Kullaf (born 1960 in New Jersey, USA).

A lifelong artist, Anne Kullaf studied Graphic Design and Fine Art at the University of Bridgeport, Bridgeport, CT. Combining her visual design skills with a natural ability for written and verbal communication, she worked as a marketing / advertising executive prior to becoming a full-time painter and instructor.

Composition, skillful drawing and expressive use of brushwork and color are hallmarks of her work. Influences include Edward Hopper, Richard Diebenkorn and Giorgio Morandi. Economy of brushwork and elimination of detail create a bold statement focusing on movement and energy regardless of subject or medium.

Anne teaches a variety of drawing and painting courses in all media at the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey, one of the top studio schools in the NY Metro area. She also conducts private outdoor painting workshops on location in New York City, and is planning to expand her workshop offering to include locations in the western US and abroad. She is represented by the Michael Ingbar Gallery of New York City, and JAG Contemporary Art of Philadelphia.

In 2014, she was selected as Painter-in-Residence at Bryant Park, NYC and her work is included in the Bryant Park permanent collection.  Her paintings were featured in an article appearing in the June / July 2014 issue of Plein Air Magazine. She is an artist member of the Salmagundi Club of NY, and the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, where she is on the board of directors
