By permission of the artist, The Cyber Art Show is pleased to feature a 12-piece exhibition of works by American landscape painter, Sally O'Neill (born 1957 in Santa Monica, CA).

 

A native of Southern California, Sally O'Neill has lived in the foothills of the Northern Oregon Cascades since 1991. It is here that she finds much of her inspiration. Sunshine and warmth dominate her paintings as influences from her life in California slip into her Northwest landscapes and floral pieces.

 

Sally's plein air and studio paintings reflect her enthusiasm for life and an appreciation for her subject matter. She has studied with a number of prominent artists including Ruben Arizpe Sr., Camille Przewodek, William Ahrendt, Ovanes Berberian, Becky Joy and Kathryn Stats. Until his death in 2007, Sally also had a constant mentor and artistic ally in her father-in-law, watercolorist, Don O'Neill. Through the blending of these influences, Sally has created her own unique approach, style and insight.

 

Sally's continues to be the recipient of numerous awards. Most recently, she was awarded the Southwest Art Magazine “Award of Excellence” at the Cannon Beach Plein Air Event.  In 2015, Sally has been accepted into the AIS National Juried Exhibition in Scottsdale, Arizona for the second consecutive year.
