By permission of the artist, The Cyber Art Show is pleased to feature the first of two 12-piece exhibitions of works by contemporary American landscape painter Cynthia Taylor Mould (born 1959 in East Lansdowne, Pennsylvania).

Always having a creative eye, Cynthia's art career began when she needed to rehab her 100-year-old home, learning to faux finish and mural to mask the "charm" of the original walls. Soon after, Fauxever Yours was born.  Mould's work now adorns many tristate homes and businesses. Nothing was off bounds as potential for a painted surface,  from vintage glassware and silver trays to fine furniture.

Cynthia's longing to paint fine art took off with the completion of her first canvas in 1997. Today,  focused solely on her pursuit of the painted landscape, Mould works primarily in oils. Entirely self -taught, her influences range from the French Impressionists to today's plein air rock stars. The internet has opened new worlds for her artistically. Citing her lack of formal training as an asset, she believes that her naivete has contributed greatly to her style of romantic realism.

Cynthia participates in juried art shows in the Southeast Pennsylvania region, as well as local plein air competitions. She displays at several Philadelphia area venues. and accepts commissions.  Cynthia enjoys introducing children to expression through art.

Perhaps, her career thus far can be summed up by the words of Vincent van Gogh. "I am seeking, I am striving, I am in it with all my heart."
