By permission of the artist, The Cyber Art Show is pleased to feature the second of two 12-piece Exhibitions of works by American contemporary Impressionist painter Frank Baggett (born 1956 in Lansing, Michigan).
Frank Baggett is a Tennessean known nationally as a successful Landscape & Wildlife artist with over 41 years of experience. With a major in art during his high school years and a scholarship to Austin Peay State University, he joined the United States Air Force during the Vietnam era and continued to paint during his final tour at Norton AFB in San Bernadino, California. Painting had become a passion for Frank, and after discharge from the USAF his Impressionistic style was refined, and became his trademark for many of his works that are now displayed in many private homes and art galleries in the United States.
The love of the outdoors has drawn Frank into en plein aire works (painting outdoors on sight) and many of his works capture that one moment in time when the lighting was just right. He attempts to bring the actual feelings of nature into many of his works, often using the area around his studio for actual paintings, some of which are plein aire, others are studio pieces. He has many mentors which include Robert Wood, and Winslow Homer.
