Feature Artist Bio
By permission of the artist, The Cyber Art Show is pleased to feature the second of two 12-piece Exhibitions of works by American contemporary Impressionist painter Leonard Wren (born 1940 in Sedan, Kansas).
While Leonard's early elementary school experiences of drawing fostered his love of art, his formal art training did not come until much later. In 1976 Leonard enrolled in the Goetz Art School. The school was very small and private with a focus on classical approaches to drawing, painting and the impressionist principles of color.
Having spent his entire youth out of doors, Leonard’s first love is landscape painting. Traveling to many countries and throughout the United States has given him many painting subjects.
Leonard’s work can be seen in several countries. His instructional DVDs, workshops and lectures promote individual expression.
Leonard lives on a small farm in Oklahoma with his wife, Roberta their dog and two pigmy goats.

ARTIST'S STATEMENT
"I was 30 years old when I attended a Richard Schmid art show at Bartlesville, Oklahoma in 1970. I knew instantly that I wanted to become an artist.
So painting has become a rewarding adventure….. with challenges. It is something I must do!
I study continuously and learn something new every time I paint."
