By permission of the artistThe Cyber Art Show is pleased to feature a 12-piece Exhibition of works by American contemporary Impressionist painter Jennifer Buckley McCall (born 1973 in Tifton, Georgia).

Jennifer recognized a strong passion for art at a very young age and knew her gifts would be realized only by becoming a professional artist.

She was taught by a private instructor from the age of five until she graduated high school. She then pursued a Fine Arts education in college. Jennifer was awarded the Wesleyan College Fine Arts Scholarship and majored in Fine Arts and Graphic Design.  After graduating from Wesleyan with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, she became a graphic designer professionally, but never forgot her need to express herself through painting. She has continued to work as a designer for over 17 years, and considers herself fortunate to be a successful artist in the design world, as well as an accomplished fine artist.

Jennifer teaches a variety of classes to children and adults in a variety of media including watercolor, acrylic, oils, and pastels at her studio in Tifton, Georgia.  Jennifer is a member of the Southeastern Pastel Society and Tiftarea Artisans

               ARTIST'S STATEMENT

"My work is about my response to my environment, my influences and those around me with whom I interact every day. Considering myself primarily an Impressionist, I  paint life around me with a subtle touch and focus strongly on the power of drawing the viewer in by shifting light and color ever so softly.  My subjects could be a beautiful Southern sunrise, a marshy seascape along the Golden Isles or a soft representation of a friend. I seek to capture not just the heart of what is in front of me, but also the emotions of those who will view it. And so it has become my philosophy: the more I create for others, the more I discover for myself."
