By permission of the artist, The Cyber Art Show is pleased to feature the first of two 12-piece exhibitions of works by British landscape painter Wendy Parkyn (born 1959 in London, UK).

Wendy has always drawn and painted, from an early age. Her first job upon leaving school at 16 was hand-painting pottery at The Jersey Pottery in the Channel Islands, where she was brought up. She first moved to England in 1980 and for the next 10 years moved around many counties doing many jobs from freelance songwriting to wedding photography, before returning in 1989 to North Cornwall, where she still lives today.
 

Wendy began having regular solo exhibitions in the early 90's, and taught Watercolour for many years through the Adult Education Service. She then ran private classes in North Cornwall. She conducts workshops and stages demonstrations for numerous local Art Societies in Watercolour, Acrylics, Pastel, Oils, Mixed media, and Pencil drawing. She now runs The Wendy Parkyn Studio Gallery, where she paints and displays her work.

The artist is a regular exhibitor with The Camel Art Society, The Truro Art Society, The Plymouth Watercolour Society and the Bideford and Westward Ho! Art Society. In 2015 her work was displayed by The Bath Society of Artists in their Summer Exhibition.r
