By permission of the artist, The Cyber Art Show is pleased to feature the first of two 12-piece exhibitions of works by American landscape painter Susan A. Hollis (born 1945 in New London, Connecticut).

Susan earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Textile Design from the Rhode Island School of Design. She has worked as a freelance fiber artist for 18 years, completing commissions for corporate clients and exhibiting in galleries around New England.  Painting, at first, a way to unwind from the physical demands of the loom, gradually became her passion. Since 1994, she has worked as a professional artist painting in both oil and pastel.

A Copley Artist, Susan paints full-time in her studio on the Cape, creating colorful, peaceful works that have won her Signature membership in the Pastel Society of America and a place in such juried shows as: the American Artists Professional League (Salmagundi Club) in New York City, Signature 2009 at the Cape Museum of Fine Arts, Hudson River Valley Art Association, NY and The Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Club, NY. In addition to the Copley Society of Boston, Susan is a Fellow Member at the American Artists Professional League, a Gallery artist at the Cape Cod Art Association, a Signature member of the Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod, The Connecticut Pastel Society, and the Pastel Painters of Maine.
