The Cyber Art Show
By permission of the artist, The Cyber Art Show is pleased to feature the second of two 12-piece exhibitions of works by American landscape painter Jz Xu (born 1960 in Shanghai, China).
J.Z. Xu showed his interest in art at the age of 3. He began training with classical drawing, especially Russian school. His mentors ranged from old masters, impressionists, to John Singer Sargent, Joaquin Sorolla and Ilya Repin.
After trying several mediums, JZ fell in love with pastel, which gives him total freedom in formation, color, and strokes for self -expression.
He currently is a member of Portrait Society of America; American impressionist Society; Chicago Pastel Painters; International Association of Pastel Society; Pastel Society of Southwest and Pastel Society of America.
JZ loves fine arts, including but not limited to classical music, poems, and photography. He enjoys traveling with his wife, May, and two sons, Allen and Bryan.
